WhatsApp Payments debuted in Brazil by leaps and bounds. The digital wallet feature of the messaging app arrived quietly, with support for a few financial institutions, but it has already caught the attention of the Central Bank and Cade, which temporarily suspended transactions, alleging risks to competition and the national financial system.
