Just over a year after launching the WH-1000XM3 headset in Brazil, Sony is ready to announce its successor. The WH-1000XM4, as it is called, was approved by Anatel and appeared for the first time in photos, which do not indicate many changes in the visual.

The approval of the WH-1000XM4 was found by Everton Favretto, which released the images. Anatel also published a manual for the device. The document is just a draft and has no data such as the time to complete a recharge and the estimated battery life.

Still, it is possible to obtain details that indicate improvements. According to Sony, the WH-1000XM4 went from 36 hours to 40 hours of maximum use when it is connected to the 3.5 mm cable and its noise cancellation is activated.

The headset has also improved interaction with Google Assistant and Alexa, and you can trigger them with a voice command. In the previous model, you had to press a button before using them. The manual also indicates that the accessory has Bluetooth 5 (the predecessor had Bluetooth 4.2) and the nominal power consumption dropped from 8W to 2W.

There is still no information on the price and release date of the WH-1000XM4 in Brazil. The previous model was launched at the end of 2018 for US $ 349.99 in the United States and, here, it came for R $ 1,699.99.
