The rumor is out there: this is the Xbox One S without a physical media player? It comes with many attractions!
Microsoft is expected to release a diskless version of its Xbox One S console, which may be the most affordable Xbox One console ever.
Windows Central previously revealed that the console would be called “Digital Editions of All Xbox One DVDs,” and the reputed blog is claiming today that the console could be announced in April with a possible release on May 7.
It’s a solid rumor.
Windows Central also saw the box for the new “Xbox One S All-Digital Edition” and published the following model today.
“The product photos we received seem to indicate that it will come with a 1TB hard drive and the digital codes Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves and Minecraft.
It does not look like it will be provided with Microsoft’s Netflix type subscription service for gaming, the Xbox Game Pass,” the rumor says.
If this model is real, it looks like this diskless version of Xbox One S will retain the same design but in a slightly smaller form.
The Xbox One S is already one of the most attractive consoles on the market, so it’s likely that Microsoft will not stray from a winning formula.
The price of the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is still unknown, but Microsoft may use the next episode of Inside Xbox in April to announce the new console officially.
This is not the only original Xbox hardware the software giant could unveil this year, as next-generation consoles “Scarlett” could also be a big part of Microsoft’s E3 2019 conference.
