Apple Arcade is Apple's bet in the gaming world for iPhones and iPads. The subscription service has recently reached 100 games in its catalog offer, due to 6 that were added today. Games are available for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and some even on Mac.
The 6 New Apple Arcade Games
- Sociable Soccer
- UFO on Tape: First Contact
- Takeshi & Hiroshi
- Marble it Up: Mayhem!
As always, most games available on Apple Arcade are standalone games, not created by major industry studios. Therefore, Apple Arcade is a way to make known the work of alternative game developers and creators.
Highlight goes to Discolored: Shifty Eyed, a first-person puzzle game ideal for those who like to solve mysteries. If you are looking for something with more action you have the beautiful Guildlings, an adventure game with a very appealing visual aspect.
This title can also be played on the Mac, along with Sociable Soccer, a minimalist but very interesting soccer simulator. Apple Arcade has a monthly value of € 4.99 with a 7 day trial period for new subscribers.
Google tried to attack the same market the same with Play Pass
Shortly after Apple announced Arcade, the Google Play Pass was announced. The concept is exactly the same except that it offers access to hundreds of games due to the larger Play Store catalog. The monthly price is also 4.99 € however availability for now is only in the United States.
